Program Manager - Electronic Systems
Location: East Coast U.S. North East

Salary: Six figures
OVERVIEW: Program Manager for Electronic Attack Sensor and Antenna Systems. Manages and administers the affairs of a specific program; a portion of a major operational system; an advanced systems product area; or a designated area within a group of allied systems.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Defines the objectives and strategies of the program, to include strategic and company objectives consistent with customer and contractual requirements. Facilitates the timely planning of the program consistent with program requirements and objectives. Assigns areas of responsibility for the program and communicates the plan to all. Drives the implementation of the program plan utilizing the tenets of proactive teamwork. Ensures the completion of tasks assigned to function organizations. Coordinates the program activities with cognizant support functions and Functional Managers. Assures the optimum utilization of manpower and program resources. Assures effective management of subcontracts and execution of the program material plan. Conducts regular reviews of program performance, evaluating the current and projected status against the approved plan. Implements an effective issues resolution process. Assures regular team identification, action planning, closure and review of program issues. Controls the timely start and completion of program tasks to assure fulfillment of program cost and schedule objectives. Makes effective use of Program Task Descriptions (PTDs), program memos, and directives, to formally communicate program direction and changes. Collects, analyzes and distributes program metrics to assure objective measurement of the program performance. Applicants selected will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet the eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
MUST HAVE THE FOLLOWING: Bachelor’s Degree and 8 years relevant experience or; Master’s Degree and 7 years relevant experience. Relevant experience within Defense industry environment. Relevant experience in budget development and cost tracking. Relevant experience in driving program cost, schedule and performance in an Earned Value Management environment. Relevant experience in risk mitigation. Relevant experience in strategic development. Relevant experience in customer facing situations. Relevant experience in leading and forming work teams within a matrixed organization. Must be a US Citizen. Active Secret security clearance.
PREFER THE FOLLOWING: Knowledge of Electronic Warfare or Electronic Attack technologies. Strong interface skills in a dynamic environment. Excellent communication skills; both written and oral. PMP Certification.
