Sr. Systems Engineer SAR
Location: Rockville, MD
Code #1211
Salary: $90K to $130K
This position will involve a leadership role in providing innovative C3ISR solutions through systems analysis, design and development for next-generation airborne and space-based Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR) systems.
This position involves design, development and fielding of airborne and space-based SAR payloads and associated signal processing and exploitation algorithms.
You will perform and/or support the following activities:
• C3ISR mission analysis and design.
Systems engineering trades and requirements definition.
Performance analysis and modeling / simulation.
Spacecraft and/or aircraft payload accommodation and interface requirements.
Analysis and design of SAR payloads / collection modes.
Support of development, fabrication and qualification of flight hardware.
Support of development and qualification of signal processing algorithms.
System assembly, integration, and performance testing.
Technical support of business development activities.
You should have experience in the following areas:
• Extensive experience in SAR system design and development.
Experience in active phased array antenna systems.
Minimum of five years experience in complex system development.
Experience in airborne / space RF hardware development and/or testing.
Experience in SAR signal processing.
Domain knowledge of SIGINT / EW techniques.
Demonstrated innovative engineering capabilities.
Requirements:
• Bachelors or Masters Degree in Electrical Engineering or related engineering fields.
10 years experience in SAR systems development and operation.
Experience in leading technical staff and ability to perform as an individual contributor.
Strong technical knowledge of radar hardware (including antennas).
Strong analytical skills.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Strong interpersonal and presentation skills.
